Its a good guide but it is missing the most important differentiating factor .. Monetary policy .. <\/p>\n

ETC policy is like Bitcoin.. deflation with hard cap. There is \u201ctithing\u201d a 20 percent reward reduction about every 2 years, so the supply will level off at some 200 million ETC around the year 2070 \u2014 with a hard cap of around 210 million ETC. The first tithing should occur at the 5 millionth block, scheduled to be mined a little less than a year from now.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Good, yet still some things remain unclear (besides the numerous typos): 1) I couldn’t quite understand why a soft fork would create a DoS vector. This wasn’t explained well. 2) The article states that “ETC won\u2019t be able to implement that because their software simply doesn\u2019t allow the use of updates”. This makes no sense to me. If ETH is a fork of ETC, the software is basically the same with some minor modifications. Porting new updates from ETH to ETC shouldn’t be that hard as the article makes it sound. It’s an attack piece of ETC defending ETH devs giving themselves free money with only 4% support by omitting tons of facts. It’s very typical within eth community, while all altcoin communities pretty much despise eth for its centralization.<\/p>\n<\/div>
