Wrapped Ether (WETH)

Wrapped Ether is an ERC-20 token that tracks the value of Ether at 1:1 ratio. Since Ether existed before the ERC-20 token standard was developed, WETH makes it easier to make ether easily exchangeable for other fungible tokens on the ethereum platform. Similar to WETH, WBTC exists which tracks the price of Bitcoin at 1:1 ratio.
