Blockchain projects

I am writing my thesis on Blockchain. It consists out of two big parts. 
The first is about explaining the technology, I managed to find some great resources already. This platform is also a gold mine for that btw.

The second part is about Blockchain applications. Financial applications are priority but any application will do. I was wondering where I could find many interesting Blockchain projects. Any will help!
