Rootstock
How many functionaries does Rootstock have in their Federation? In this article (https://blockgeeks.com/guides/sidechains-on-top-of-bitcoins-network-rsk-liquid/#Sidechain_details) from BlockGeeks it said 15 active functionaries. However, when Googling, it said something like 25. What’s the correct number nowadays and how many signatures does it require to approve a transfer from BTC to RBTC?
I also don’t fully understand the merged mining. You cannot earn RBTC block rewards as a miner right? Since their ratio is 1:1, this would create new BTC. You can only earn additional fees as a miner on the Rsk sidechain right?

Under federation peg here (https://blog.rsk.co/noticia/the-cutting-edge-of-sidechains-liquid-and-rsk/), it says 15. Where did you read 25? Since its the official RSK website, I would go with their number.

I interpreted the number 25 from these sources, but I could have missunderstood these. Thank you for replying, Saarah!

On RSK website, the incentives are defined: ” Rewards are paid in Bitcoin and come from the transaction fees of the network.
Miners earn ~80% of the fees for every competing block submitted to the network (yes, even uncles are rewarded!).” So you’re basically earning from transaction fees not technically mining new BTC. https://mining.rsk.co/
